On 04.03.2018 we celebrated our 10 year club anniversary at the Holiday Inn Pattaya.

What a party?!!
On the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Phoenix Pattaya Rotary Club, more than 100 guests gathered to celebrate the event on the Holiday Inn Hotel’s pool terrace. Even the spectacular sunset drew many visitors an “Ah” or “Oh.” After all the guests had taken their seats, the evening was opened. As a master of ceremonies, Peter Malhotra once again led the evening in a more professional and charming manner, and it was he who helped the club in its early days.
Those present were particularly pleased that founding President Stephan Heynert held a moving speech on the stage of his club’s past year. Other speakers included President Peter Schlegel and District Governor Onanong Siripornmanat. Hubert Meier first came to represent the Rotary Club Hong Kong South and Rosita Le Meier was present for the Hong Kong Lions Club.
Ingeborg Schlag was named an honorary member for her involvement with Take Care Kids Foundation and Jürgen Lusuardi received a symbolic check for THB 360,000 for the Foundation. The sum was provided by the RCPP and the Rotary Club of Hong Kong South.
In particular, the members of RCPP were pleased that the other clubs had seemed so numerous and especially thank: Eastern Seaboard, RC DACH Bangkok, E-Club of Dolphin Pattaya, RC Bangkok South, RC Bangkok Bangkapi, RC Pattaya Marina and RC of Chonburi. They were all represented by their presidents and members.
Not to be forgotten. Seur, who also wanted to celebrate this beautiful evening with the club.
In addition to the great buffet, mention should be made of the musical program sponsored by Axel Brauer. The Princess Band, consisting of three violinists, made the beginning. The delicate sound of their violins enchanted the people, especially with the hymn. The two Frenchmen Shirley Ab (singer) and Marta Danny (guitar) surprised especially the guests of the French club Marina. And the advertised star of the evening was of course Barry Upton. He was at his best and presented the songs of our youth. It was not long before numerous guests swung their legs. Jan Abbink, Rodney Charman and Axel Brauer did not ask twice and jumped on stage to support Barry.
At the end of the event, there were only happy faces and all guests were thrilled with the great anniversary celebration.
